What makes a dream team? It all starts with dedicated people who give their best every day. That follows a shared vision while adding their unique points of view. In 2021, we said hi to many talented people who do all that and more, and we couldn’t be more grateful for working with each of you.
The number of Pixel Babies also grew, meaning that some of us got the promotion of a lifetime. A new role that comes with many diapers, feeding bottles, onesies, but, above all, full of unforgettable moments!
We left Porto borders and said hello to new team members cross country — from Braga to Lisbon. If you also believe that every pixel matters, go on and check our open positions.
Besides occasional muted microphones, our People Operations team also brought key initiatives and processes to attract, empower, and engage every Pixelmaster. Because... People are the core of everything we do!
Our reactions aren't the same without the endless Slackmojis that keep showing up. We know what happens if someone gets distracted...😅
We launched a new brand together with our friends John&Jane — a more mature, technical, and bolder Pixelmatters. And what a moment is was!
Digital is cool, right? But we can make some exceptions... Just take a look at our Pixel Kit. It was the trending topic! We loved seeing it, but now we can touch it (and wear it too).
Sharing our knowledge with the world has been part of us since day 1, and this year we took it to the next level. Turned internal documentation into helpful blog posts, went from 25 to 33 public repositories, and even launched our homemade Goodies for your project. 💥
Speaking of sharing, Pixelmatters is also really proud of the different projects created in 2021. From healthcare to telecommunications, from cybersecurity to media, it was all about creating top-quality digital products, building great relationships along the way.
And how is Pixelmatters capable of doing so? We focus on helping our partners to fulfill their full potential. It’s not about “us” or “them”; it’s a two-way valuable and enriching relationship right from the start.
Whether you’re giving or receiving one, a praise always brightens up the day. To everyone on the team, our partners, clients, and friends, we’re so thankful for all the feedback we got in 2021. We felt the love!
Sketch was essential in our evolution, but times changed. And so did we. After going through every detail, Pixelmatters made the shift, and Figma has definitely won our hearts.
Vue 3 and Kotlin became part of Pixelmatters' core tech stack. Not only to keep up with recent and stable technologies but also to keep delivering better and more scalable solutions. Be very welcome; you're now on our favorites list!
While some Pixelmatters’ tools and technologies changed in 2021, we kept having fun between exported screens, staging environments, deployments, and many more. That’s right! Delivering top-notch digital products involves iteration, but mostly passion.
In worldwide uncertainty, we found hope. From staying at home to stepping once again out of the door. From empty spaces to a sense of community. From being remote for over a year to being reunited in person again. Hopefully, this new year will bring new and more “Hellos.”
