Laying the foundation for sustainable growth, we’ve planted an Organization Model, an exercise that details how the company is structured regarding norms, roles, and interactions between roles. With this, we aim to increase transparency, new career opportunities, and higher growth capacity, allowing for a bigger focus on areas like Sales and Recruitment.
Having the flexibility to choose where to work from got a lot better with our new corner in downtown Porto. Thought to reinforce the “Remote as Default, Office as an option” work policy, you will find in the new office many cool spaces, but most importantly, the famous, comfy, iconic…blue sofa. Pause for applause.
Quantic, a client since 2015, took another step in shaping tomorrow’s school with a transformative tech revamp on its website. Protocol Labs, an open-source Web3 R&D lab, launched its new network website. ClearanceJobs, the leading career networking in US National Security, fastened “time to build” with a technology switch to Vite. You can say Pixelmatters’ team was the fertilizer behind these products and many others.
Engineering got a lot of love this year, with thirty Engineers in place, from Back-End to Mobile, plus from a QA team of one to four…Phew! This growing team spent their days broadening their Back-End Development knowledge while nurturing and expanding existing Front-End expertise.
Mobile was also busy, working daily with Kotlin and Swift, cultivating a growing mobile knowledge.
The Product team took off to new heights, data-driven heights, that is. They were on the lookout for product opportunities and how to keep track of its progress. Together with Quantic, a leader in Education, the team assessed their website metrics at a critical release. They also helped identify which metrics to track with Frame Fertility on their way to growing an inspiring product born from Jessica and Corey’s challenging path to parenthood.
Clients could see the importance of UX in their product’s success, which meant welcoming a third UX Designer into an already multidisciplinary team. The team also said hello to our partner, Protocol Labs, at their decentralized conference, LabWeek22, and performed on-site user testing. Another hello was to FigJam, which is now officially part of the tool stack. Since then, we’ve heard there has been a lot of “jamming”.
After a few years without Teamatters, our annual summer retreat was officially back! How often do you see these Pixelmasters reunited in one place, getting their salsa groove on? Besides the salsa moves, the team enjoyed the sun, talked, danced, and laughed. And there are rumors we have some card rockstars in the making. 🤫
We welcomed 23 new team members. Thanks to our flexible remote work policy, Pixelmatters kept hiring across Portugal from north to south. That means a multitalented and cross-functional of 64 team members who believe every pixel matters.
